Friday night “in”
Instead of the usual Friday night “out”, we decided to stay “in”. My house, actually. While I prepared baked tahong, Ben prepared a Vietnamese (?) dish. Romaine lettuce, vermicelli noodles, bean sprouts, prawns (marinated in orange marmalade & hoisin sauce, then grilled). No cooking required, except for the vermicelli and prawns, of course! On top of the romaine lettuce, arrange the vermicelli, bean sprouts, and prawns, roll, then voila! It’s ready to eat. Kinda messy, but quite tasty. Kudos to the chef. :)
After dinner, got comfy on the sofa, turned on the dvd, and popped in “Chicago”. Loved it! Catherine Zeta-Jones was fantastic! As in, I was in awe… didn’t realize she could sing, let alone, dance! So it was really a revelation to watch her. Same with Richard Gere! Queen Latifah was not a surprise since I knew even before she could really sing. But Renee Zellwegger? Whoa! What a stellar cast! So now, “Chicago” is definitely part of my favorite movies list. Loved all the songs, too, so am bent on getting a copy of the soundtrack. (Paging Ben! ;->) POP SIX SQUISH UH-HUH CICERO LIPSCHITZ…DA GUN DA GUN DA GUN… :D
